Business Social Networking
The way we communicate and share has forcefully changed the approach of advertisers and marketers forever.
Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and many other social networks. have revolutionized marketing from an "at" the customer to a personal interactive relationship “on the customers terms” approach.
The social network community is vast but, contains a spirit separate from the empty spamming tactics so prevalent on the web.
The scale is huge!
Facebook has over one million users (1,000,000)
YouTube receives over 1,000,000,000 unique visits a month, and yes that that is billion.
Twitter is newer to the game, taking off in 2009; January 2014 statistics show 650 million users and growing.
Some advertisers see this as a bottomless pit that needs to be filled with their un-targeted marketing; completely removing the human element and neglecting the nature of this social business revolution.
On-line social networks in spite of the scale are emerging technologies; the creative business using personal and business relationships can hurtle over less creative, more traditional competitors. Consider it multi-level marketing; without the disadvantageous cost structure.
New approaches; learn the various networks; energy expended early will continue long after your initial push. Friends of friends of friends are much more likely to be trusted than strangers. Avoid direct sales pitches, provide information build relationships. And please include us on your journey.
