1. If you haven’t already download the Yoast SEO plugin for wordpress which is the most complete WordPress SEO plugin that exists today for WordPress.org users. It incorporates everything from a snippet preview and page analysis functionality that helps you optimize your pages content, images titles, meta descriptions and more to XML sitemaps, and loads of optimization options in between.

2. Content is King you probally heard this so many times however it is very essential for you to have good posts that are atleast 500 words. You should also make sure you post regularly if you want to keep traffic coming to your website. Use the google keyword tool which help you determine which keywords are the most popular.

3. Social networks is essential if you are serious about blogging and getting traffic. Make sure you share your blog on facebook,twitter, LinkedIn, and Tumblr. 5. Integrate a subscribe form somewhere on your blog which will notify your users by email when you post something new. This can help you understand your users more and could get you consitent traffic. Againe you can use the Jetpack plugin to integrate the form to your blog.
